We build few things,
but we build them well.
VantLabs is not an agency, not an incubator, and not a fund. It's a studio that designs, builds, and maintains its own products with an obsessive standard of quality and no rush to grow.
The studio comes from a simple observation: in Latin America, millions of people are wrestling with concrete problems —accessing justice, understanding their money, fighting a parking ticket— for which software could be a huge tool. But the products that reach them are designed for another market, another language, another reality.
So I decided to stop complaining and start building. VantLabs is the structure I set up so each product gets the focus, resources, and time it needs to become exceptional, without diluting itself across a thousand priorities at once.
Today VantLabs is a single-founder studio — me, Efrain. Tomorrow, when a product needs and supports it, I'll bring people in. But the principle stays: few things, well made, defensible in every detail.
What we don't negotiate
Mission over metrics
Metrics are tools to understand impact, not the reason to exist. If a metric goes up but the product gets worse, the metric is wrong.
Quality as a habit
Every commit, every pixel, every query. Quality is not delegated or pushed to the end — it happens at every step or it doesn't happen at all.
Building in public
We show what we're working on, the decisions we make, and what we learn along the way. Transparency makes us better.
Latin America first
Our products are designed for Latin American reality: languages, currencies, response times, payment methods, legal frameworks. Not a secondary market — the market.
